Eat my Lunch works on a model of Buy One, Give One making it so easy for anyone to contribute through the purchase of something as simple as lunch. Oceanbridge supports Eat my Lunch as our preferred catering choice. The lunches provided are always delicious and we love the difference they make to the community – it’s a little gesture that’s had a great impact on so many Kiwi kids. With a good lunch in their tummies, the kids do better in so many ways from helping them focus on learning to simply just putting a smile on their faces.

In October, a group of our Auckland staff made their way to Eat My Lunch headquarters before the sun rose to volunteer to make sandwiches for hungry school kids. Together, on a well-oiled production line, they made 950 ham, cheese, and salad sandwiches in just under 2 hours, and helped pack them into bags with a piece of fruit & a cookie.

It was an impressive effort, with everyone doing their part to perfection. Teamwork really does make the dream work!!
